As my final grad piece, The Post Thrift Store identity was completed as an experiment and was inspired both conceptually, and fundamentally by the store’s idiosyncrasies.

The visual identity was inspired by The Post‘s sustainable repurposing of donated material.The Post receives more donations per week than it can store, so the store is forced to come up with clever solutions to repurpose donated items in a more meaningful manner. For example, the store uses their surplus of donated cotton t-shirts and cuts them into workshop rags sold in large quantities. With this in mind, I decided to screen print all the collateral for the store on materials donated to me by Medicine Hat locals and the store itself.
